Hello and welcome to NearlyKnowledgeable!

My name is Amy and I am a writer and folklorist. The focus of my research is Shropshire's rich folkloric tradition, primarily the interplay between folklore, history and the folklore and perceptions of the past through folk beliefs. I believe that the study of folklore and ghost lore can enhance our understanding of history, and provide us with a unique insight into the past. I am passionate about all things Shropshire and a strong advocate of its wonderful history and lore!
